Watching a Ray
The first sign that told us that diving the Delray Wreck was going to be a good dive was that immediately on arrival, we found a little ray.
The little stingray was just swimming next to the Boiler just as we arrived. It sat on the sand for a bit but I guess I was probably breathing too loud as it swam off soon after.
In fact, I didn’t notice it as soon as we arrived because I was distracted by some rather large fish that swam by. These appeared to be some curious tarpon.
This is one of the drawbacks of this dive as sometimes you’ll arrive to find fishermen anchored there because, well … there are fish. I didn’t manage to get a picture of it – still a little slow with the camera settings – but one of the fish had a little remora attached so they were a fair size for this close in to shore.
